Billie Eilish releases Bond theme No Time To Die and it’s already iconic

Billie Eilish’s Bond theme song, which will be featured in the upcoming movie No Time To Die, has been released and it’s already iconic.

The Bad Guy singer has joined the likes of Adele, Tom Jones and Madonna in lending her vocals to a theme song for the franchise.

And we’re loving it already.

It’s definitely not an easy job, especially considering the widespread love for Adele’s Skyfall, but it seems she’s smashed it.

Last month, it was confirmed that young Billie would be singing the new theme song. Announcing the incredible news, the official James Bond Twitter account wrote: ‘The #NoTimeToDie title song will be performed by @billieeilish.

‘Billie has written the song with her brother @finneas and is the youngest artist in history to write and record a James Bond theme song.’

Speaking to Alt 987 FM, Billie teased: ‘It is something me and my brother have been trying to write our whole lives.

‘Bond is so dope, it is like the coolest movie franchise in the world. It was a crazy call and a crazy last couple of months.’

The new movie will be Daniel Craig’s last stint as the iconic spy, after a whopping 14 years.

In fact, the star recently opened up about how he was unsure he’d be physically able to continue playing the character after facing injuries while filming Spectre back in 2015.

He admitted to Entertainment Weekly: ‘I finished that movie with a broken leg. I had to question myself: Was I physically capable of doing [another one] or did I want to do another one? Because that phone call to your wife saying “I’ve broken my leg” is not pleasant.’

He needed arthroscopic surgery after injuring his knee during a fight scene with Dave Bautista in his last outing, so it’s no surprise that the actor had some doubts about carrying on.

However, he’s definitely not been let off easy, with Rami Malek, who plays the villain in the new movie, admitting he pushed his co-star as much as he could while filming.

Speaking to Esquire, the 38-year-old explained: ‘I pushed as much as possible without being too much of a nuisance to ensure that we were doing as best as we possibly could to make it a real fierce one-on-one between the two of us.’

No Time To Die hits cinemas on 3 April 2020.
