Billie Eilish and Millie Bobby Brown have been honoured by animal rights organisation PETA for their commitment to animal welfare.

The 14th annual award ceremony looks to celebrate the celebrities and companies putting their animal rights activism at the forefront in 2019, and showed that the children really are our future as they honoured the two teen faves for their hard work.

Billie was given the best voice award for her online activism, with the 17-year-old Bad Guy singer and vegan talking about animals and the environment with her 44 million Instagram followers.

One of her key causes has been against the cruel treatment and killing of minks, calling people who wear the animal’s fur in fake eyelashes or slippers ‘disgusting’, while also rallying against the treatment of sheep by the wool industry.

Additionally, the star has pledged that her 2020 world tour will be as eco-friendly as possible, urging fans to bring their refillable water bottles with them to reduce single-use plastic waste.

Now that’s what we like to hear.

Repping the even-younger teens is Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, who beat out Jaden Smith and YouTuber Shane Dawson’s brands to win the best side hustle for animals gong for her vegan and cruelty-free beauty line Florence by Mills.

Yep, you read that right – a 15-year-old has a beauty line.

PETA Senior Director of Youth Programs Marta Holmberg said about the winners: ‘Billie Eilish [and] Millie Bobby Brown are showing the world how easy it is to help animals by making kind choices in what we eat, what we wear, and how we entertain ourselves.

‘PETA is recognising them for using their star power to make the world a better place for all species.’
