Billie Eilish works regularly with her brother, Finneas O’Connell, both on stage and in the studio. However, recent reports have suggested there is also a close bond between Billie and another pop icon: Lady Gaga. Are Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga related?
Billie Eilish is not related to Lady Gaga by blood, however, the pair clearly have some level of relationship after Gaga offered to become Billie’s ‘mentor’.
Speaking of her offer, Lady Gaga told Apple Music: “Billie swept a whole bunch of awards so I said, ‘Let’s send some flowers’. I wrote her a note.
“For me, it’s healing because it hurt me that I didn’t get that. I’m going to be that for someone else.”

“I’ve had a harder time with older women in terms of having a female mentor. Other than Celine Dion and Carole King, it’s proven difficult to have someone who would show me the way.
“So I really hope that young female artists – or young artists of any gender identity or sexual identity – will know that I am rooting for them.
For Gaga herself, Sir Elton John has held this place in her life, and has “challenged” her throughout her career.
She added: “He’s been my mentor for a long time.
“I mean, he’s always challenged me to keep my head above water and it’s something that I always appreciate is that he knows when I’m down. He just does.
“And he knows because I hide, because I never want anyone to see me when I’m like that.”
After Billie’s major Grammys win, Lady Gaga sent her some flowers and a note, sharing her desire to support her.
While it is unclear if Billie accepted this offer – though it seems likely she would given Gaga’s icon status in the pop world – Billie’s only interactions with the singer has been when she, in an interview, made a negative comment about Lady Gaga’s meat dress.
Speaking to Variety about major Grammy moments, Billie responded with the word ‘yikes’ on seeing Lady Gaga in the meat dress, which was thoroughly controversial at the time.
She later apologised after receiving a huge backlash from Gaga fans, but it doesn’t seem to have dampened their relationship.
Despite their not being related, family is very important to Billie, who has until recently remained in the family home.
She also writes with her brother, Finneas, and has done a podcast with her father, Patrick.
