The Queen of Pop is continuing to rule the world.

In Beyonce‘s latest piece of work, her portrait shot for Vogue will be on display for all to admire in a museum’s permanent collection.

The illuminating photo of the If I Were A Boy singer is going to feature in Washington, DC’s Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.

So if you’re passing through you can go and gawp over the photo for yourself.

And if you’re not, maybe you should change all your summer plans and head to Washington…

The stunning piece of work was created by 24-year-old photographer, Tyler Mitchell, and marked the first time a black photographer had been commissioned to shoot a Vogue cover in the magazine’s history.

A star-struck Tyler shared the news on his Instagram page on Tuesday, along with the photo.

He wrote on Instagram alongside the amazing photo in which Beyonce is wearing a gold Valentino gown and Philip Treacy headpiece: ‘A year ago today we broke the flood gates open.

‘Since then it was important to spend the whole year running through them making sure every piece of the gate was knocked down.

‘And now I’m glad to share this picture is being acquired into the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection.’

We don’t yet know when the photo will be on display at the Smithsonian, so keep your eyes peeled for news.

Hopefully we won’t have to wait long!

And while you wait you can look at some of Tyler’s other work as he’s already made quite the name for himself.

He became the first ever African-American to shoot a Vogue cover last year and since then has also photographed Zendaya for Vogue’s May 2019 cover.

You could also go admire Beyonce even more by going to watch the latest Lion King film, in which she plays Nala alongside Donald Glover.

Basically we’re just surrounded by incredible talent.
