Beyoncé ‘ready to reunite with Destiny’s Child for world tour’ after success of Spice Girls reunion

Beyoncé could be set to reunite with Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a ‘world tour’ following the success of the Spice Girls reunion, according to new reports.

The singers have all had successful solo careers since the group parted ways in 2006 and are now thought to be ready to join forces again.

“Beyoncé has been desperate to get the girls back together with her in the studio,” an insider told The Sun.

“She can’t think of a better time than 2020, when they will be marking two decades as one of the world’s biggest all-female groups.”

The source added: “She saw the success of the Spice Girls tour and wants to replicate that — but far bigger and better.

“Beyoncé has been meeting with Kelly and Michelle and discussing what they can do. It’s early days but they want to record new music and put it out alongside some of their biggest hits.”

The insider added that the group are allegedly hoping to schedule dates in Europe, including the UK.

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for further comment.

Originally a four-piece in the 90s, the group’s first smash hit was No, No, No, produced by Wyclef Jean, which helped their self-titled debut album achieve platinum status.

The band’s 1999 album The Writing’s On the Wall, was the project that made them global superstars, with hit singles Bills, Bills, Bills, Bug a Boo, Say My Name and Jumpin’ Jumpin’.

The group went through multiple reshuffles leaving Beyoncé and Kelly to enlist the help of newbie Michelle in 2000.

They last toured together in 2005, but since then the trio have made surprise appearances at Coachella and the Superbowl during Beyonce’s headline shows.
