Beyoncé finally makes her overdue debut on TikTok and brings her entire music catalogue to the app

Beyoncé has made her long-awaited TikTok debut, and we are Crazy In Love.

Yes, the BeyHive have waited long enough for Queen Bee to upload a video on the popular video-sharing app, and, given that she actually joined the platform last year, it seems that their (our!) dedicated patience has paid off because the star has finally posted.

And it’s not just any ol’ video. No, the former Destiny’s Child singer shared an incredible video complication of her amazing fans from around the world singing, lip-syncing and dancing along to her brand new single, Break My Soul which has been inspiring people to quit their jobs since its release. B also led by example, making sure to credit every fan that was featured in the montage.

Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, a slew of famous including rapper Cardi B and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Shangela also make an appearance. Casual.

Having racked up nearly four million views and counting (yup, you heard that right), you can be sure that delighted fans left comments to welcome her on the social media platform, that took off during the covid pandemic.

“Can’t believe I’m witnessing Beyoncé’s TikTok era,” one overjoyed person wrote, while another fan added: “Watching everyone in this video just made my heart smile because so much joy was present.”

A third added: “I was looking at the name and was like BEYONCÉ!?!?!? I’m so excited for this era,” and a fourth said: “AAWWW This makes me so happy the amount of faces I recognise.”

Also, we have to throw in there that the star brought along her entire music catalogue to social media app TikTok, which is now available for creators to use as background sounds for their videos. Talk about a double whammy! Now, we can create Beyoncé-inspired videos to our heart’s content.

It has undoubtedly been Beyoncé’s time to shine these past few months. Well, of course, she shines all the time, but particularly recently with the release of her new music from her hotly anticipated upcoming album, Renaissance – or, at least, “act one” – on July 29, which is her first studio album in six years.

Earlier this month, Beyoncé, whose daughter Blue Ivy looks exactly like her, shared the first look at her album art – and she looked incredible. The artwork features a mostly naked Beyoncé à la Lady Godiva on a celestial CGI horse.

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world,” singer Beyoncé wrote in the caption of the snap on June 30. “It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”

The star first announced Renaissance on June 16 on Instagram and in a cover interview with British Vogue. The detailed profile describes her new music as a “wall of sound” with “soaring vocals and fierce beats.”

“I want to get up and start throwing moves. It’s music I love to my core,” British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful wrote of the album. “Music that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul.” Long live B and her music!
