Beyonce had everyone hyped over her new Ivy Park collaboration with Adidas, but following its release, she’s found herself facing backlash from fans.
We all knew the Ivy Park x Adidas drop was coming, thanks to Bey sending out her new line to her famous friends in a surprise orange box and them filming their reactions for Twitter and Instagram.
We had Reese Witherspoon busting out a few moves while kitted out in her new Ivy Park swag, and even rapper Stormzy was gifted a package from Queen B.
He was so stoked by the gift in the post, Stormzy declared he and Bey were ‘friends forever’, telling fans: ‘This is straight from the desk of Beyonce so I’m not saying that’s my best friend but, boy, we might as well be now.’
The Ivy Park x Adidas collab launched on 18 January with reports revealing it sold out almost immediately, but there’s some fans out there that have been left feeling a little miffed over Bey’s new designs.
Some have claimed that they don’t think the collection is ‘inclusive’ of the plus-size community and were quick to vent their frustration on Twitter.
One fan tweeted: ‘Yep my fillings still hurt about the @WeAreIvyPark @Beyonce @adidas launch for not being size inclusive. KEEP IT 100 ain’t NOBODY gonna be working out in those close so idk why people are trying to use that as an excuse for why plus sizes were not included #IvyParkXAdidas.’
‘I want to buy the Adidas x Beyoncé line, but there are no plus size sizes … disappointed #IvyParkXAdidas,’ another said.
‘But why is nobody talking about the fact that the Ivy Park clothing line only goes up to size XL and Beyonce couldn’t even extend her inclusivity to our bigger sisters and adidas has plus sizes,’ posted a third fan.

i stan down for Beyoncé but I can honestly say this release failed in the inclusivity department. Anybody who’s ever stepped foot in a real plus size store and/or section can tell you that.

I see both sides. I think it bothers people because Beyonce is an icon and has such a huge fan base many of them being plus size women.
But.. the other side of me is like well.. I’ll look good in a brand that actually wants to be inclusive.

I really got a bone to pick with @Beyonce and @adidas for not having plus sizes in the collection when Adidas already makes plus size clothes.

Not everyone was of the same view, however, and some fans pointed out that the collection still goes up to an XL – while suggesting that the designs are in line with the standard sizing for Adidas and not Ivy Park.
One fan commented: ‘I received the rest of my #IvyParkAdidas today!!! I’m a plus size girl 18/20. The XL fit just fine on me!! Thank you for this great collection @Beyonce. Now if I could my hands on a pair of the Super Sleek 72’s!!!’
Others argued that more sizes could drop, with a fan tweeting: ‘People slamming the sizes get real it goes up to XL she can’t please everyone plus it’s in jd sports and for women in there it goes up to size 16-18 she might come out with more sizes in the future.’

Metro.co.uk have reached out to Beyonce’s rep.
She, meanwhile, has thanked fans for their support over her new drop – that has found itself unfortunately likened to a Sainsburys uniform because of its colours. C’mon, you all thought it.
Bey wrote: ‘I want to say a huge thank you to all of the incredible human beings who stood in those long lines in the snow and rain.
All the beautiful people who waited in the waiting room online. All of the friends and family who took the time to film videos and dress up in the unboxing.
‘I am humbled, grateful and proud. Y’all look so good in your IVY PARK. I love you deep. B.’
