Bermuda Triangle: How 5 US Navy planes disappeared without a trace – 'Never seen again'

Before all contact was lost with the men, Lieutenant Taylor said: “We are entering white water, nothing seems right.

“We don’t know where we are, the water is green, no white.”

The Flight 19 disappearance was investigated by the US Navy, which ultimately reported the incident as a “case unknown”.

Reports from the escort carrier USS Solomons stated crewmembers saw flames around the same time the planes dropped off radars.

The investigation, however, failed to ever recover any debris or crew members.

Mr Satterley said: “From the time of this incident until the mid-1980s, 25 small planes disappeared while passing through the Bermuda Triangle.
