Ben Shephard: 'We’ve all tried that’ Kate Garraway hints at 'crush' on Tipping Point host

Kate Garraway, 52, seemed to suggest she had a “crush” on her fellow presenter Ben Shephard, 44, following a flirty comment from their co-star Gok Wan, 44. The Good Morning Britain presenters engaged in the cheeky banter during the introductory segment on tonight’s episode of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars. Gok started things off when he admitted to fancying Ben, while explaining why he decided to appear on the game show. The fashion expert said: “Hi, I’m Gok Wan, I’m a fashion stylist and TV presenter and a massive Tipping Point fan.

“But I’m actually not here to win. I’m here because I’ve got a crush on Ben Shephard and I’m hoping one day he’ll marry me.”

Gok’s mischievous admission prompted Kate to share her own revelation about Ben in response.

The ITV favourite coquettishly quipped: “We’ve all tried that!”

Following Kate’s playful remark, she continued to joke around with her GMB co-host on the programme.

During her introduction, Kate said: “I’m Kate Garraway, I’m a journalist, a radio and TV presenter and I’m currently one of the hosts of Good Morning Britain with Ben Shephard, who is extraordinary.”

Kate went on to go into detail about Ben’s qualities as she added: “He’s professional, he’s dynamic, he is definitely not the sort of person who would make someone say nice things about him in order to get preferential treatment on this show…”

However, the joke was turned around on Kate when her co-host seized the opportunity to drag her into the freezing water with him in the studio.

Kate wriggled around and pulled down her dress in the chilly bath as she repeatedly shrieked: “Oh my God!”

Ben addressed the incident on Twitter recently when a fan reminded him: “#TBT to when @CrocusWealth made their debut on @GMB courtesy of @Seb4chuf and @benshephard #c2c7.”

The star wrote back: “Haha just watched this back again for the first time in ages and it’s hilarious.”

The Tipping Point host added: “@kategarraway still hasn’t forgiven me.”

Tipping Point: Lucy Stars airs on ITV tonight at 6.30pm.
