Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard had an awkward moment today when his autocue stopped working.
After a chat with Pride of Britain’s Child of Courage winner Ella Chadwick, Ben urged viewers to make their nominations.
But just as he was talking, a presenter’s worst nightmare happened and his autocue seemingly vanished.
He said: “If you know a child as inspirational as Ella, we’re looking for nominations… I was just reading that… we were going to something…”
“I was just reading that…”
Ben looked seriously unimpressed as he looked to camera but Kate Garraway continued talking to distract the situation.
Soon enough, the autocue was back and Ben was able to carry on, saying: “There you go…
“…for Good Morning Britain Fundraiser of the Year, which, of course, Ella has been absolutely instrumental in raising money for her charities.”
Ella, 11, was on Good Morning Britain today to share her experience at the Transplant Games.
The youngster was a welcome addition to the Good Morning Britain table today with her positivity brightening viewers’ Tuesdays.
Viewers flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts – and it’s safe to say she’s found herself a whole army of fans.
One tweeted: “How adorable is Ella! She’s brightened my morning.”
Another person said: “It’s Ella the most adorable young girl ever?”
A third wrote: “Ella on TV is just what you need on a wet and windy morning – she can put a smile on anyone’s face.”
While someone else added: “Thanks Ella, you made my day start with a massive smile.”
