Following on from fevered speculation that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have reunited, bringing Bennifer unexpectedly into the 2020s, Ben has been spotted wearing a watch he received from J-Lo back in the day.
This watch was gifted to the Batman actor on screen by J-Lo, when he starred alongside her in the official music video for her iconic single, Jenny from the Block.
The couple met in 2002 while filming Gigli, which famously bombed at the box office, got engaged and then split in early 2004, having postponed their wedding due to ‘excessive media attention’.
Now, eagle-eyed fans have matched up the timepiece that has been seen on his wrist recently with that of the one from the music video, which he wore throughout their relationship back in the early noughties.
On Twitter, @jloaffleck wrote: ‘It’s the lil things… Ben Affleck wearing the same watch JLo gave him while filming Jenny From The Block.’
Fans were quick to pile on, with one commenting: ‘I gotta follow because I am INVESTED.’
Another wrote: ‘I am 100% okay with her turning him hot again.
‘Usher in the era of Silver Fox Affleck, JLo.’
This watch spot came after reports of the couple hanging out together in California, before allegedly taking a week-long holiday together in Montana.
Now, they’ve been spotted around Miami as a duo, with reports of some PDA being witnessed too.
A gym-going eyewitness spotted the apparent couple working out together in Florida and looking ‘madly in love’, suggesting they were ‘clearly picking up where they left off in their relationship years ago’.
Speaking to In Touch, the source said: ‘They even shared a kiss on the gym floor and were super playful with each other between sets.’
Celebrities have also come out in support of this seeming Bennifer revival, from Ben’s pal Matt Damon saying he hopes it’s true as ‘that would be awesome’, to Jennifer Lawrence declaring herself ‘so excited’ at the news.
