Ben Affleck was spotted hanging out with his kids at ex Jennifer Garner’s house after attending a boozy bash two nights before.
The 47-year-old arrived at his ex’s house and was greeted by his two of his three children, who he shares with the actress.
His son Sam, seven, and 10-year-old daughter Seraphina were showing off their pumpkins as Ben – who is also dad to 13-year-old Violet – watched on.
Sam and Seraphina weren’t the only ones getting into the Halloween spirit.
The Good Will Hunting writer must have been looking for support in Jennifer after he was pictured stumbling and falling into a car after attending the Unicef Masquerade Ball at La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood on Saturday night.
Before reaching Jennifer’s house, he acknowledged he has a ‘slip’ with his sobriety, but won’t let it ‘derail’ him.
He sparked concern when he was seen stumbling around in footage acquired by TMZ.
Ben, who was wearing a mask, appearing unsteady and falling backwards while leaving the party, catching himself on a car before leaving with a female companion.
The dad-of-three told TMZ: ‘Well you know it happens, it’s a slip but I’m not going to let it derail me.’
Ben has battled alcoholism since the ‘90s and has had several stints in rehab, and the actor looks like he’s trying his best to stay sober and get healthy.
A source told Metro.co.uk that Ben is continuing to work on his sobriety every day, following a rehab stint in August 2018 when he received treatment for his addiction.
The insider explained: ‘He continues to contend with this disease and is doing so very publicly.
‘While he works very hard at this, every day is a new battle. Sobriety is not something that just happens and every day is a new battle.’
In August, Ben was said to have celebrated one year of sobriety after his ex-wife Jennifer pushed him to seek help for his addiction issues.
Despite the couple finalising their divorce last year and splitting three years before that, Jennifer has been by the actor’s side through thick and thin and have remained close friends.
