‘Beautiful’ Cumbria village named one of the prettiest in the UK – ‘a real gem’

The National Trust owns many buildings around the village, including the Gallery, and history-lovers will feel as if they are walking around an open-air museum.

Visitors can also go to the 17th century Church of St Michael & All Angels which overlooks the village.

Reviewer placed2seeplaces2go said: “Picture-perfect church.
