BBC to Broadcast Regional League of Legends Competition on Streaming Platform

The BBC will broadcast League of Legends matches from the U.K. League Championship and Northern League of Legends Championship through its streaming products BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport (online and app).

As the name implies, the UKLC is a League of Legends competition which takes place in the United Kingdom, while the NLC covers the Nordic region, the U.K., and Ireland. Both leagues are part of Riot Games’ European Regional League system, which connects country or region-specific leagues and tournaments to one another through a higher stakes circuit known as European Masters. This ERL system effectively serves as the secondary competition structure, filling the role that the Academy structure serves in North America.

Both leagues will conclude their seasons in early August.
