BBC bosses called as unaired EastEnders episodes leaks online

BBC bosses have been forced to take action after a host of unseen EastEnders episodes did the rounds on social media.

A week’s worth of episodes of the BBC One soap have been leaked online before they aired according to Metro.co.uk.

Eagled-eyed viewers spotted that all four episodes for next week had appeared online.

The leaked scenes include a storyline featuring newcomer Daniel Cook (Adrian Edmondson) and the dramatic return of Martin Fowler (James Bye).

But bosses at the BBC were quick to take control of the situation and have since removed the episodes.

A spokesperson for EastEnders told the publication: “As soon as we became aware of the unauthorised publication, we took immediate action to remove them.

“We are investigating to prevent this happening again.”

It remains unknown if the major error was done deliberately or a genuine mistake.

Viewers have been treated to tonnes of drama in recent weeks, with Whitney Dean (Shona McGary) being targeted by her abusers’ son Leo King (Tom Wells) and Callum Highway (Tony Clay) coming out as gay to his homophobic dad.

There is still plenty of action left to unfold in Albert Square following the reveal of Sharon Mitchell’s (Letitia Dean) affair with Kenau Taylor (Danny Walkters) and the arrival of the Penesar brothers.

The leaked episodes will air as normal this week.

EastEnders continues on BBC One at 8pm on Monday
