Bayern Munich vs Tottenham LIVE: Latest score, goals and updates from Champions League tonight



Bayern Munich host Tottenham Hotspur in the Uefa Champions League tonight.

Both teams have already secured the passage to the last-16 with top spot already wrapped up by the Bundesliga champions.

But Spurs will be out for revenge after Bayern infamously ran out 7-2 winners the last time the two met earlier in the group stage. Follow live coverage below:

69 mins: Tottenham break quickly with Sessegnon who manages to give the ball to Eriksen. Eriksen passes the ball into the box for Son, who doesn’t shoot. Davies manages to get back and tackle Son, ending Spurs’ best chance of the half.

66 mins: Jose Mourinho makes two changes. Son comes on for Lucas Moura and Skipp replaces Lo Celso. Can Spurs get back into the game?

Bayern then come again down the left and win a corner. Kimmich sends the balls swinging into the box, Foyth heads it out with Sessegnon booting down the other side of the pitch.

Second half: No changes from either manager at half time as Tottenham restart the match. They try to work the ball down the right hand side but lose possession.

45+2 mins: Coutinho hits one from range and the ball swerves towards the near post. Gazzaniga wrong foots himself but manages to recover to tip the ball onto the crossbar.

45 mins: GOAL! Gnabry plays a lovely one-two with Thiago to get into the box. He slots a pass into the box but the ball is deflected to Davies. He shoots and hits the post, the ball rebounds and Muller reacts first to put the ball into the back of the net.

42 mins: The Bayern Munich fans are making it perfectly clear that they’re not happy with how long it’s taking Gazzaniga to restart the game when he’s taking goal kicks. The referee agrees with them and tells him to hurry up.

39 mins: So, so close! A ball is dinked over the top of Danny Rose and Gnabry brings the ball down and shoots. The shot hits the far post bounces back into the six yard box where it’s met by Thiago who puts it wide of the goal.

That was awful. Eriksen plays a ball over the top and Sissoko picks up the ball. He runs into the box with Sessegnon and Moura joining him. I think Sissoko is trying to find Sessegnon but his cross is so bad that it goes straight out of play and Spurs waste a great chance to go in front.

30 mins: Perisic picks up the ball on the left wing. Walker-Peters holds off and allows him to get a cross into the box. Muller has made the run but the ball bounces up and hits him on the hand. Tottenham get the free kick.

27 mins: Coman chases a ball that comes down the left wing, as he stretches to keep the ball in play he jars his left knee upon contact with the turf. Coman goes down immediately and is seen to by the medical staff. That looks like a bad injury.

 

Coman is taken off with Thomas Muller replacing him. That’s not a bad change is it.

24 mins: The left hand side where Sessegnon is operating in is wide open and he’ll have success there all night if Bayern don’t correct it. Tottenham equalise with their first real attack. 

 

Bayern send a ball into the box from the right and Perisic rises above everyone, wins the header but puts the ball wide of goal.

20 mins: GOAL! Lo Celso and Dier work the ball between them on the right wing before Lo Celso brings it into the middle. He tries to play in Lucas Moura but the ball is deflected out to the left side of the box where Sessegnon picks it up. He smashes it at the Bayern goal giving Neuer no chance to stop it and the ball thunders into the back of the net. Spurs are level.
