Batman crew brave torrential rain and strong winds to film in Glasgow's Necropolis cemetery

Batman film crews continued to shoot in Glasgow, with more scenes at the city’s most famous cemetery.

Filming took place at the Necropolis on Saturday.

Actors, stunt artists and crew braved treacherous wind and heavy rain to shoot the Dark Knight in action.

Yesterday we told how a man, dressed in a Batman suit, was spotting crusading round the Necropolis on a motorcycle.

The biker is believed to be a stuntman, rather than Robert Pattinson who will portray the character of Bruce Wayne.

While Batman donned his famous black suit, crew members were spotted in waterproof overalls as the wintry weather battered the filming days.

Other actors set to appear in the movie, The Batman, include Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell.

The filming in Glasgow will see a number of roads closed including Wishart Street, Ladywell Street, Cathedral Square, Drygate and John Knox Street.

Diversions are in place around Castle Street, High Street, Duke Street and Alexandra Parade.

The cathedral was also used recently to film scenes for Netflix-sequel The Princess Switch: Switched Again starring Vanessa Hudgens.

The Batman is due to be released in July next year in the US.

A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
