Barry Cryer dead at 86 – Cause of death not revealed as veteran comedian & writer for The Two Ronnies passes away


Barry’s son Bob Cryer followed him into fame

Bob was born on November 24, 1973 in London.

He followed his dad into stardom, with acting and writing credits to his name.

In 2012, Barry and Bob wrote the book Mrs Hudson’s Diaries, a humorous reimagining of the Sherlock Holmes stories.

From 2017 to 2018, Bob had a starring role on Hollyoaks, playing villain Glenn Donovan.

He had a second stint on a soap, starring as Weatherfield County FC manager Robert Dover in Coronation Street.

Other TV work includes small roles on The Bill, EastEnders and Holby City.

He has also given his voice to the video game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, credited as Space Marines and Orks.

In December 2021, Bob and Barry started a podcast titled Now, Where Were We?.

Bob is set to star in the 2022 film The Adventures Of Maid Marian, playing The Sheriff of Nottingham, who is usually the antagonist of Robin Hood.
