The shopper, who shared her find in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, says she nabbed it in Tesco’s branch in Top Valley, Nottingham – and she told The Sun there were loads left.

Tesco hasn’t yet told us whether it’s available elsewhere too, so in the meantime your best bet would be to give your local store a ring or pop by to see whether you can nab the bargain yourself.

The supermarket has over 3,400 shops across the UK. You can find your nearest one using its store locator tool.

The snacks have a best before date in December this year, so there’s plenty of time to munch your way through the lot before their expiry date.

How to get a discount on your food shopping

HERE are our top tips for cutting the cost of your weekly food shop:

  • PREPARE Research the items you want to buy and find out the cheapest price. Websites such as MySupermarket will compare prices at all the major supermarkets for you.
  • GET FOLLOWING Follow your favourite shops on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and sign up to deals newsletter to get the latest on any offers. We post the best deals in our Sun Money FB group too.
  • LOOK Search for discount codes on websites such as  MyVoucherCodes.co.uk and VoucherCodes.co.uk to see if you can get money off at the till.
  • EARN CASHBACK Check websites such as Quidco and TopCashback BEFORE you place your order. Cashback websites PAY you to shop. All you have to do is click through their links and the money is added to your online account, usually within 14 days.
  • BE DISLOYAL Swapping supermarkets can save you 30 per cent off your grocery bills, so make sure you shop around.
  • DROP A LEVEL Try switching all of your branded or premium goods for lower level ones and see if you notice the difference. If you do, switch back, but if you can’t stick with the cheaper option.

Keen crisp fans might want to keep an eye out for the treats, as it’ll save you £3.50 if you spot one.

This is because the cheapest Walkers six-packs cost £1 at Sainsbury’s, meaning you’ll have to fork out £6 at the supermarket to get the same amount.

If you’re after different flavours, it’s possible to get away slightly cheaper as both Asda and Tesco are selling packs of 18 bags in the classic and meaty variety flavours for £2.50 (£5 for 36 bags).

Meanwhile, Iceland is selling packs of 20 bags in classic or meaty for £3.

The same box of 36 bags is also on sale at discount warehouse JTF for £4.79, but that’s excluding the £4.29 delivery charge.

The 25g bags aren’t sold as individual items in supermarkets, as the ones included in the meal deal are slightly bigger by weighing 32.5g.

If you’re keeping a close eye on your waistline, you’ll want to know that the treats contain between 123 and 130 calories per 25g.

An adult man should eat around 2,500 calories a day while it’s 2,000 for a women, according to NHS guidelines.

Earlier this month, Walkers rolled out Caribbean jerk flavoured Sensations crisps – and they’re up for grabs in B&M.

But almost half of Walkers crisp bags are empty – adding around 1,760 tonnes of packaging waste a year, we found last week.

We’ve also gone inside the Walkers crisp factory to find out how a muddy potato becomes a golden snack.
