Bard of Blood Netflix release date, cast, trailer, plot: When is the series released?


Bilal Siddiqi’s action-packed novel Bard of Blood is being turned into an all-new Netflix series. With a plot that’s bound to grip fans from the get-go and a cast boasting some of the biggest names from Indian cinema and TV, the new Netflix Original is bound to be a hit. Here’s all the information on the series so far, including when it’s released and the all-action trailer.

What is Bard of Blood about?

The series is based on the bestselling thriller from the mind of Siddiqi.

Netflix has released its own synopsis for the on-screen adaptation, however.

The plot reads: “An excommunicated RAW agent, Kabir Anand (played by Emraan Hashmi), a courageous analyst, Isha Khanna (Sobhita Dhulipala), and a sleeper agent, Veer Singh (Vineet Kumar), take on a covert mission in Balochistan when four Indian spies are captured.

“The mission soon turns south and Kabir Anand must face his demons from the past to end a war before it begins.”

Who stars in Bard of Blood?

Hashmi, Dhulipala and Kumar lead the cast as the three main characters.

Viewers may recognise Hashmi for his roles in Mr X, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and The Dirty Picture.

Dhulipala’s biggest role to date came in Amazon Prime series Made in Heaven.

Kumar’s CV boasts a number of big-screen roles, starring in blockbusters The Brawler, Gangs of Wasseypur and Ugly.

Other actors to keep an eye out for in the case include Shishir Sharma, Danish Husain, Kiri Kulhari and Shaman Ahmed.

Is there a trailer for Bard of Blood?

Netflix released the promo for Bard of Blood a month before its release date.

Packed full of explosions, high-octane car chases and plenty of gunshots, the series is bound to keep viewers gripped throughout.

Bard of Blood will be released on Netflix on Friday, September 27.
