Barcelona and Liverpool hero Luis Suarez has branded Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham as ‘incredible’.

Abraham has established himself as a key player under new Blues boss Frank Lampard this season, scoring 11 goals in 20 appearances.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Aston Villa but has already shown he belongs in the Premier League with a number of impressive performances for Chelsea.

Suarez, who scored 82 goals in 133 games for Liverpool before helping Barcelona win four La Liga titles, has heaped praise on Abraham and described the striker as ‘incredible’.

‘There are many young strikers who are playing very well this season,’ Suarez told OneFootball.

‘Personally, I have certain number of young and old strikers that I like to see them because of their skills.

‘For example, I like Tammy Abraham, Chelsea’s No 9. In my opinion he is an incredible striker with a good finishing and who moves incredible despite of his youth.

‘Another one is Maxi Gómez and not only because he is from Uruguay, but also because he has a lot of characteristics and skills which are the ones that big teams are looking for in one striker. Obviously, Lautaro Martínez is playing at high level this season too.’

Abraham suffered an injury during Chelsea’s Champions League draw with Valencia on Wednesday and will miss Saturday’s Premier League clash against West Ham.

‘He’s got some pain so won’t be involved tomorrow and we’ll see by Monday,’ Lampard said on Friday.

‘It’s a squad game over the course of the season. The lads have been training well no matter how many minutes they’re getting.

‘Every day is a work day so when opportunities come they’re ready, so I’ve got all confidence in them.’
