Bam Margera checks into the hospital for edema… after relapsing and checking back into rehab

Jackass star Bam Margera checked into rehab again last week and pledged to own up to his ‘shenanigans.’

And in a further update the star has now been admitted to the hospital after suffering from edema, a condition in which excess fluid builds up in the body’s tissues.

The 39-year-old skateboarder shared news of his health issues in a black and white photo posted to Instagram on Wednesday evening, which he deleted later in the evening.

Bam’s photo showed him looking morose while lying on a gurney and wearing a hospital gown.

‘Adema sucks but i will be fine and out in a few hours, either reaction to new medicine or detoxing from i guess a bit of alchohol from two weeks ago when i had the pleasure to go to jail [sic],’ he wrote in the caption.

The medical message came after Bam (or someone close) shared a message on Sunday about his return to rehab.

‘Bam will be unavailable until 9/6/19 from his phone,’ he captioned a photo of himself holding a skateboard next to his wife Nicole Boyd and his one-year-old son Phoenix Wolf.

‘So anyone texting, calling or trying to reach him, he is in rehab getting treatment. Thanks everybody!’

Bam stayed silent as promised until Wednesday, when he reappeared on Instagram with a photo of a hastily scrawled note.

‘I have been In rehab in huntington Beach for 2 weeks and Plan on being here for Longer because I Love Warren Boyd of Wavelengths and he Is helping me,’ he wrote.

‘You are watching old footage from 2014. I AM SOBER. I HAVE 2 REASONS TO BE SOBER. THEY ARE IMPORTANT TO ME,’ he concluded, though it was unclear what footage he was referring to.

Also unclear was why the skater had returned to posting from his phone, though he may have gotten his device back when he left the rehab center to go to the hospital.

Also on Wednesday, the reality star posted a rambling black and white video to his Instagram in which he showed off a new tattoo that was apparently a NSFW phrase in Norwegian, which he also deleted after a few hours.

Bam went after some of the online commenters concerned with his sobriety in a video shared later in the evening that was quickly removed from his page.

”How come Bam gets to get a tattoo in rehab?’ Because I have a tattoo gun, a**holes,’ he seethed.

”Home come Bam gets to stay in a hotel?’ Because my wife and kid are here and I haven’t seen them in a long time and I get to f*** Nikki now and I get to spend quality time with my son,’ he continued.

The Viva La Bam star also lashed out at those who questioned why he was able to leave the program to visit a fair with his son, which he claimed was only a block away.

After pondering aloud why he was in the hospital, he replied to himself: ‘Because I had a bad reaction to medication that I had never tried before to try to get me better. Duh.’

Bam’s seemingly unhinged rants and medical issues came two weeks after he was arrested for allegedly trespassing.

The skater delivered a bizarre rant from a hotel lobby after getting drunk again.

The week earlier he sent a public request to Dr. Phil to help him with his sobriety and mental health issues.

‘Dr. Phil, I’ve seen 28 doctors, I’ve been to four rehabs,’ he said in the video. ‘When I went to my last rehab, they put me on more medication than I was on when I was out. When I’m out, I have Adderall and then some weird s***, I’ll tell ya all about it. I don’t know what works and what doesn’t.’

The two TV stars met and and Phil convinced Bam to return to rehab. They’ll also be featured on an upcoming episode of Dr. Phil’s show.

Bam later praised the TV medic on social media, writing: ‘Dr. Phil is the greatest, he secretly flew out nikki and phoenix wolf, had my mom on standby. Got down to thebroot of the problem and isolated it down with no one interupting eeachother.’

‘Pr. Phil ‘bambis not crazy, he is extremely frustrated with certain issues, ban is not crazy!’???nope ‘Off to dallas to get my brain evaluated! Thanks dr phil and michelle 24832199 my phone will be off for a while. Later (sic)’

The 39-year-old stunt performer also admitted he tested negative for alcohol and drugs during his meeting with Dr. Phil. He added: ‘By the way i was evaluated and tested for alchol and drugs, the results were negative. Not drunk or drinking, and not on drugs either!! (sic)’

Sources told TMZ that Bam teared up several times during the emotional three-hour sit down, and following the discussion he headed to rehab to begin a 60-90 day treatment.

Source connected to Bam’s family told TMZ earlier this month that his troubles stemmed from no longer taking medication used to treat his bipolar disorder.
