Bake Off's Paul Hollywood 'desperate attempt to win back Summer with texts'

Paul Hollywood has reportedly made a ‘desperate attempt to win back’ ex girlfriend, Summer Monteys-Fulham.

He has allegedly texted her ‘out of the blue’ with an emotional message, which has reportedly stunned the 24-year-old, especially after the acrimony following their split.

The 53-year-old baking expert, who returned to our screens this week with the latest series of The Great British Bake Off, has poured out his heart in the hope of letting Summer know ‘how much he loves her’.

A source has told The Sun that Paul has asked for a one-to-one meeting with the barmaid and has vowed to help her achieve her goal of becoming a social media influencer.

Paul has apparently apportioned some of the blame on their fallout on Summer’s mother, Sabrina.

He has said that he believed she had ‘driven a wedge between them’.

The source said that the text message had left Summer “stunned,” and that he told her he “didn’t understand her decision to leave.”

Paul also reportedly revealed that he “still loved her very much.”

The Bake Off judge wants to “sit down and talk, just the two of them, to see if they could sort things out,” the source added.

He has reportedly said that “she could choose the location,” for their meeting and apparently “ended the text message with a kiss.”

The couple had an acrimonious split, in which Summer refused to sign legal paperwork, which would have banned her from speaking about their relationship.

Paul then accused her of “courting” media attention as the break up turned sour, leading to Summer threatening legal action.

She took to Instagram to post a message in which she described her distress as to what had happened.

Summer was planning to sue Paul

Summer wrote: “I am very disappointed and distressed by false and highly defamatory statements that Paul has made about me online since our break-up.

“I’ve no alternative but to instruct my solicitors Brett Wilson LLP to pursue legal proceedings against Paul in order to obtain vindication. I have never courted publicity over my relationship with Paul and I am deeply disappointed our relationship has ended in this way.”

The source added that a meeting would be ‘unlikely’ as Summer is unhappy how Paul “dragged her name through the mud,” and has said she “is never going back to him.”

Paul is currently going through a divorce from his estranged wife Alexandra, which followed him hooking up with Summer after they met in a pub.
