Bachelorette star Tyler Gwozdz was ‘hospitalised after a suspected drug overdose’.

The 29-year-old – who appeared on the most recent series of the dating show with Hannah Brown – was reportedly rushed to hospital in Florida where he was taken to intensive care.

According to TMZ, Boca Raton police officers and paramedics were sent to a house on 13 January after receiving an emergency call from a woman who claimed he had locked himself in a bathroom.

She is thought to have eventually ‘broken through’ and ‘turned him on his back’.

The publication states he remained in hospital care for one week, in ‘critical but stable’ condition.

He is thought to have left the facility on Tuesday.

Tyler has yet to speak out over the incident on social media.

The sales manager came to fame last year, taking part on season 15 of the Bachelorette, where he attempted to win the affection of Hannah Brown.

However, his time on the series was cut short, as he was mysteriously sent home from the competition just three weeks after it started.

Hannah confirmed his departure, simply telling the camera: ‘Tyler G. had to leave, and that’s upsetting because I really enjoyed my date with him.’

While ABC was not drawn on exactly why he left the show, Tyler later maintained that it was a ‘mutual decision’ with the show’s producers.

‘This was a decision that I came to with producers, and something that I’ve come to realise what is the best decision that could’ve been made,’ he told Refinery29 in a statement.

Discussing why his exit wasn’t aired, he insisted it was to ‘respect his privacy’.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Tyler and Boca Raton Police Department for a comment.
