She left the comfort of her sofa on Googlebox with co-star Yvie Jones for the chance at finding love on The Bachelorette.

Now, Angie Kent has revealed the real reason why she and her best friend exited the hit show last year in her autobiography, If You Don’t Laugh You’ll Cry: Life and Love from Either Side of the TV Screen.

In an excerpt published by News.com.au, the blonde beauty, 29, explained: ‘By the end I think we might have acted a little bit, but it was still us.’

‘We were forcing ourselves to be the same people over the last four years, but really, we had loved, lost, grown and felt we needed a change.’

She added that at times it felt invasive having cameras and an audience in their home.

The blonde beauty also said that it became difficult to be constantly interested in TV and contribute commentary.

‘By the end I think we lost our spark a little bit. We became a little bit too comfortable, and what more can you really say after four years of watching similar shows over and over?’ she explained. 

The reality TV star added that they had given it their best, were exhausted and ready to let new people on.

After her stint on Gogglebox, Angie moved from Sydney back to her hometown on the Sunshine Coast to be with her family.

She then starred on season five of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! along with Yvie, before taking on The Bachelorette Australia.

Angie is currently in the finale week of the show with her three remaining suitors – Timm Hanly, Ryan Anderson and Carlin Sterritt.
