When a baby is born, you expect a loud wail to echo around the delivery room.
But one baby upended expectations to deliver a stone-cold stare to the medics around her instead.
She appeared seriously unimpressed to have left the womb, and glowered instead of the typical cry.
Photographer Rodrigo Kunstmann, who shared the image on Facebook, joked that she must be thinking: ‘Today is my birth and I don’t even have clothes for this’.
Isabela Pereira de Jesus was born in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro on February 11.
Her mum Daiane de Jesus Barbosa told Crescer: ‘I thought: “What face is that she made? My daughter was born a ready meme”.’
She said that Isabela only started to cry after the umbilical cord was cut.
After taking her home, she found her daughter remained expressive, wrinkling her forehead when she wants to feed or have a nappy change.
Her picture has now gone viral, being shared over 500 times.
Mr Kunstmann told the Insider he feels lucky to have recorded the moment shortly after birth.
‘The doctor helped me a lot, because she made the baby have contact with the mother at birth,’ he said.
‘But I only saw the expression on the baby’s face when I left the operating room.
‘Childbirth is a unique moment.
‘I can only consider myself a blessed person. I feel like a lottery winner.’
