Freya Minter was born at Colchester Hospital in Essex in September 2018 and her parents Grace and Ryan always knew their little was one was “super alert”.

Freya’s mother told the Essex Gazette: “She has always tried to fight sleep and she has just learnt everything really quickly.

“From two months old, she was trying to stand on her feet and she was sitting up unaided at four months.”

It was around this point that Freya began trying to walk by herself – but continued to hold on to her parents’ hands for support.

However, it seems as if the beautiful Bank Holiday weather encouraged Freya to take the plunge as she took her first steps in the family’s Essex garden.

What’s more, Freya is still only wearing clothes designed for babies aged 0-3 months and weighs just 13 pounds.

Describing how her daughter always “has to be doing something”, Grace added: “She constantly wants to be on the move, we have a little Staff and she loves following him around.”

When do babies start walking?

Freya’s parents are now considering entering their daughter into the Guinness Book of World Records as Grace has found no similar case of a baby girl walking at such a young age.

Around ten years ago, two baby boys from Cambridge reportedly started walking from the age of six months old but there is currently no female record holder.
