Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo has made it clear that his birthday is a big deal – by celebrating twice and with a massive Thanos gauntlet.

Because why have a party hat when you could have a gauntlet?

The director could be seen blowing out candles on a birthday cake, helpfully aided by his huge gauntlet (containing all the Infinity Stones, might we add).

‘Happy Birthday Joe. (Despite what Wiki says, it’s actually today. But he loves having two birthdays,’ the Instagram post, presumably written by his brother Anthony, read.

The queen can do it so why not him, right?

The pair have been getting fans hyped after teasing an announcement to do with the MCU at San Diego Comic Con.

Joe and Anthony tweeted, simply attaching a video with the date ‘7.19.19’ on it – 19 July is the opening day of the 2019 San Diego Comic Con – and audio of the directors releasing the very first footage of Infinity War in 2017.

The brothers are expected to help announce Marvel’s fourth phase of movies which will include Doctor Strange 2, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, Black Panther 2, and new films for Black Widow, The Eternals and Shang-Chi, the first MCU movie with an Asian lead.

The official synopsis for the panel at Comic Con reveals that they will ‘reflect on Endgame and their epic road to it as they segue into life beyond Marvel with their new company, AGBO, which happens to include an exciting array of new and old creative friends’.

It’s suitably vague, and we can’t wait to see what happens.

Meanwhile, the Avengers cast may be reuniting at Comic Con after Joe and Anthony confirmed their panel.

Deadline reports that ‘some form of Avengers reunion’ will happen at Comic Con, whether that is at the AGBO panel or the Marvel panel the following day.

The Avengers have form at Comic Con – back in 2010, the entire principal cast of The Avengers appeared on stage together, making their roles in the 2012 blockbuster official.

And honestly, at this point, we’d do Whatever It Takes to see our heroes back together again.
