Avengers: Endgame deleted scene reveals alternative Black Widow death and this is just cruel, Marvel

Avengers fans, prepare to have your hearts broken all over again as Black Widow’s alternate death scene for Endgame is revealed.

As part of a swathe of scenes re-released to mark the welcome wagon of Disney+’s streaming service, we’ve now got Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johansson) death.

If you can master it and cast your mind back to Natasha and Hawkeye’s (Jeremy Renner’s) quest to Vormir in order to acquire the Soul Stone, you know both don’t make it to the other side.

They had to sacrifice one of themselves, and after a scuffle on the cliff face, Black Widow toppled and met her maker.

And everyone cried – own it.

Now a recently-released Avengers: Endgame deleted scene has revealed a similar setup, with a fight between Hawkeye and Black Widow brewing.

However, when Mad Titan Thanos’ forces arrive, things take a turn and the pair are pinned back from the edge by their enemies.

Knowing what’s coming, Black Widow makes the first move and rushes towards the cliff edge to throw herself over and acquire the stone for the Infinity Gauntlet.

Thanos’s army opens fire with force and she’s fatally wounded before she can leap, with Hawkeye trying unsuccessfully to help her.

With her death, though, Clint is able to get the stone right as Thanos arrives.

And we all know how the rest ends, right?

If anything this is even more harrowing than the theatrical release, because there Black Widow was able to take matters into her own hands, sacrificing herself for the greater good to take down Thanos once and for all.

In this version, his army just comes and ruins everything and takes that moment from her.

We just know Natasha would not be having that…

It comes after Marvel released a deleted scene between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) and his teenage daughter Morgan (Katherine Langford) that never made the final cut.

Katherine’s scene was revealed

The 13 Reasons Why star was set to appear as the grown-up version of Tony’s daughter, who was played by Lexi Rabe in the movie. Her scene ended up being cut but has now been revealed with a clip that shows Tony encountering his daughter, saying: ‘Guess it worked.’

Morgan goes on to tell him: ‘Yeah, it worked for me. I got to live, grow up. For you, I can’t answer.’

Then, as if we weren’t sobbing enough, she tells her dad: ‘I love you’, with him (of course) answering: ‘I love you 3000’.

We can’t handle so much emotion, guys!
