Aubameyang leads Arsenal's dressing room celebrations after FA Cup win

Arsenal stars certainly didn’t miss the chance to celebrate winning the FA Cup for the 14th time with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette leading the way.

Aubameyang scored twice in a famous win for the Gunners as they came from behind to beat London rivals Chelsea and book their place in next season’s Europa League.

It was a memorable end to the season for Mikel Arteta’s men after they could only manage an eighth-place finish in the Premier League.

As Arsenal’s skipper, Aubameyang led the celebrations on the pitch as he hoisted the cup aloft and also led the celebrations off the pitch too once Arsenal returned to their dressing room.

The Gabon international could be seen widely celebrating with strike partner Lacazette in one of several clips shared on Aubameyang’s Instagram page after the final.

In another video, this one shared by youngster Bukayo Saka, Aubameyang was seen being shown the goat emoji by Arsenal players who were keen to demonstrate how important their captain was to the cup final success.

Elsewhere, Arteta was treated to the traditional drenching of a cup-final winning coach as the Arsenal squad doused the Spaniard in champagne.

Footage also showed that some of the players decided to actually drink the alcohol rather than spray it, justifiably celebrating a first trophy since 2017 for the Gunners.

There are sure to be some sore heads this morning among the Arsenal squad, as well as among their fanbase too after hundreds gathered outside of their Emirates Stadium home to toast the success.

For Arteta, though, any celebrations may be shortlived as he turns his attentions back to convincing the talismanic Aubameyang to sign a new deal with Arsenal.

The Spaniard previously admitted the Gunners may need to win the final to convince the Gabon star to stay and Arteta will have been pleased his side strengthened his hand heading into the negotiations by beating Chelsea.
