'Athletes can’t hear me!' BBC’s Sharon Davies says Tokyo Olympics is 'toughest' so far


Swimming has got underway at the Tokyo Olympics as Team GB continues its search for medals. However, broadcaster Sharon Davies has admitted she’s found it “hard” to interview athletes at the event.

Former Olympian Sharon is a veteran swimming interviewer, often famed for her poolside chats.

However, the BBC broadcaster has opened up about the difficulties of the Tokyo Olympics.

Taking to Twitter, she admitted finding it “hard” due to the covid restrictions in place.

She penned in view of her 70,000 followers earlier today: “Can’t see faces & expressions.

Earlier this morning, Tom Dean claimed a stunning gold and Duncan Scott silver in the 200m freestyle final.

Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton replied with some love heart emojis to the broadcaster.

While another penned: “Still doing an outstanding job Sharron as usual.”
