Congratulations are in order for Ashley and Francesca Banjo, who have welcomed their second child together.
The Dancing on Ice judge took to Instagram on Friday to announce that wife Francesca had given birth on Thursday morning to a baby boy, who they have named Micah.
‘On Thursday the 26th March at 6.45pm our son came into the world weighing a healthy 8lbs 15oz,’ Ashley wrote, as he shared a snap to Instagram of mother and son wih their newborn.
‘His name is Micah Grace Banjo… Our son, our little ray of light in a dark and uncertain time.
‘@francescabanjo and I love him with the deepest part of our hearts.’
The picture prompted outpourings of love from the couple’s friends, with Ashley’s brother and fellow Diversity member Jordan writing: ‘Something incredible in these dark times bro. So proud of you both! And of course already love my new little nephew.’
Meanwhile, Jordan’s The Greatest Dancer co-host Alesha Dixon wrote: ‘Congratulations @ashleybanjogram & @francescabanjo.’
Ashley and Francesca also have a one-year-old daughter, Rose, with Ashley giving another sneak peek into life as a father-of-two, as he shared a short video of his newborn son’s adorable hands to his Instagram Story.
The dancer and TV personality had previously hinted that their second child was a ‘surprise’, as Francesca fell pregnant only 10 months after giving birth to Rose.
‘‘It’s a good job we like surprises,’ Ashley joked.
‘Baby number 2 is officially in the mum oven ladies and gents and I feel so blessed and excited.
‘Our little family is growing @francescabanjo #nextchapter #family.’
Ashley married Francesca, also a professional dancer, back in 2015 after being together for eight years.
