George at Asda is always a treasure trove for homeware, and so is the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group.

The group’s latest find has got shoppers going wild, with a whopping discount of over 90%.

George is well known for their unicorn-themed items, which often fly off the shelves.

One recent release – a unicorn dinner set – was no different, but now even more so.

The set has an RRP of £25, and includes four dinner plates, four bowls, and four side plates.

However, one savvy shopper used the in-store scanning device at Asda and found the set selling for just £1.80.

The Facebook post read: ‘£1.80 for these in ASDA – marked on the shelf as £25,’ and showed a picture of the self scanner and the set for proof.

Her post has now been liked over 2,000 times, with comments from others who managed to get their hands on the markdown.

The set – which features the words ‘always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn’ – is currently sold out on the Asda website, and you may have to go the reduced to clear section if you’re looking for them in store.

You can either pick up one of the self scanners and check yourself or ask a member of staff to do so for you. This way you won’t end up with any nasty surprises when you do go to pay.

One word of advice, though, these will likely sell out fairly quickly, so head down to Asda sharpish if you want to get your hands on one.

For the future, it’s also worth knowing about the self scanners, which let you see markdowns even if they haven’t yet been stickered by staff.

All you need to do is go around and scan things you want, and you can take advantage of bargains galore.
