You also get a fake credit card reader, paper bills and plastic coins, plus paper bags to pack everything away.

The set costs £25, down from £30 – a saving of £5 for keen shoppers.

In terms of measurements, the checkout is 75cm by 46cm by 29cm.

You’ll need to check if your Asda has any in stock though as they’re selling out fast, plus they’re not available online.

You can use the Asda website to check the availability of your nearest shop by clicking “check local stores” and using your postcode.

The website will tell you if your store has good or low availability, or if it’s completely sold out.

Meanwhile the trolley, which features the green Asda branding and measures 58.5cm by 45cm by 28cm, is sold separately.

This costs £15 and has better availability than the checkout – it’s also still being sold online.

If you’re buying both the trolley and checkout, you’re looking at spending £40 for the entire set.

The checkout has already caused a stir on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group with eager parents desperate to get their hands on one for their kids.

One person said: “Molly would love this.”

Another shopper added: “I got this for my son last week… he loves it.”

And it’s not just the children that parents have in mind, with someone else saying: “How cool is this? I wanna play!”

Asda has 631 shops in the UK and you can use its online store finder to track down your nearest one.

If you’re ordering the trolley online, you can either click and collect for free or pay £2.95 for delivery.

Alternatively, those not fussed about the Asda logo can pick up a till for much less – we found this brand new one on eBay for £7.17.

But this one doesn’t come with shopping bags, plastic food or any of the other extras you get with Asda.

B&M shoppers can also pick up a toy trolley for their kids for £12.99.

In case you missed it, Asda has reduced its £25 12-piece unicorn plate set to just £1.80.

The supermarket is also selling magical unicorn ice cream cones for £1.
