Asda and Tesco are giving away free nappies, baby grows and wipes to new parents

NEW mums and dads who are nervous about being prepared for their baby’s arrival can now get a free pack of newborn essentials thanks to Asda and Tesco.

The supermarkets are offering the bundle of products for parents, which can include nappies, wipes, a baby grow, sterilising tablets and Sudocrem.

The deal is available through the pregnancy app, Bounty, and includes different freebies every month.

One shopper in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group revealed she got ten items free in her pack from Asda.

Her haul was made up of three packs of wipes, one detergent sample, one fabric softener sample, one pack of nappies, one babygrow, one pregnancy guide, one pot of Sudocrem, and bottle sterilisation tablets.

Tesco wouldn’t tell us how much the total packs are worth but Little Angels Nappies usually cost 89p at Asda, while the wipes cost 40p.

We found a smaller 22g pot of Sudocrem on sale at Superdrug for £2.99, while a plain white baby grow from Asda usually costs £2.75 for a three pack.

The expectant mum added that she picked up the pack from the supermarket’s pharmacy this week.

Asda says the packs can also be picked up from customer services, and that they’ll have a refreshed range of products in March.

There is no expiry date on the offer and you can download the Bounty app for free in the app store or via Google Play.

To find your local stores, see the Asda and Tesco websites.

But the bundle is not the only offer for new parents.

Boots also offers parents who have an Advantage Card several free products if they sign up to its Parenting Club.

While Tesco is giving Clubcard users double points if they download the app now.

And shoppers at Debenhams can snap up a deal where they can have a £6 fry up for just £2.99.
