Arsenal want to resign Donyell Malen for £50m – just two years after selling him for £500,000

ARSENAL are considering making a move for £50m-rated Donyell Malen – just two years after selling him for £500,000.

The Gunners flogged the striker to PSV Eindhoven in August 2017 despite many Gooners believing he could be the next big thing.

They were also wary of making the same error they did with Serge Gnabry – who is know one of the hottest properties in Europe and starring for Bayern Munich and Germany.

The Londoners sold the winger for just £5m to Werder Bremen in 2016.

But after scoring all five goals in PSV’s 5-0 win against Vitesse Arnehm last weekend, Malen is being talked of as a future star.

The Mirror is reporting that Arsenal are monitoring their former employee who was once dubbed the “new Thierry Henry”.

INTERNATIONAL DEBUT

But there are reportedly as many as 45 clubs scouting the 20-year-old.

He has netted 11 goals in 13 games in all competitions this season, and broke into double figures the last.

Malen made a goalscoring international debut for Holland in the 4-2 victory against Germany a fortnight ago.

And these exertions have also caught the eye of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds already have Holland internationals Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum at Anfield.

If he continues his progress, not keeping Malen could look to be Arsene Wenger‘s last error as Gunners chief.
