Arsenal transfer news: Zaha, Tierney, Ceballos, Saliba, Koscielny, Nelson latest updates and rumours

Arsenal has reignited their interest in Wilfried Zaha and have seen their latest offer for the winger swiftly rejected by Crystal Palace.

The Independent revealed that Arsenal offered Palace a £55m deal with £10m in add-ons and the choice of Reiss Nelson or Bukayo Saka on loan for the season.

Palace rejected the deal and are holding firm on their £80m valuation of their talisman. Arsenal have very limited funds, but Palace view Zaha as too valuable to lose.

Unai Emery remains very interested in signing Zaha before the 8 August deadline, but it appears Arsenal are going to have to find another way around the deal.

Zaha has told the club it is his intention to leave, but is not expected to follow some players by refusing to train or play in order to force a move.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are making progress on a deal to bring Dani Ceballos to the Emirates.

Sources close to the Real Madrid midfielder believe that a deal is close to being completed, according to The Mirror.

The Gunners have beaten north London rivals to signing the talented midfielder and are expected to conclude a deal soon.

Arsenal are also set to beat Tottenham to signing high-rated French defender William Saliba from Saint-Etienne.

The Premier League side plan to loan him straight back to the French club and any fee paid will be carefully structured over time as to not dent the limited transfer budget too much.

The total fee is understood to be in the region of £27m.

Celtic have received a third bid from Arsenal for Kieran Tierney.

The Scottish champions twice rejected offers from the Gunners in the region of £25m, but Celtic were unhappy with the latest proposed deal due to the add-ons that were weighted if Arsenal qualified for the Champions League, according to the Daily Record.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon recently pointed to the £50m Manchester United paid to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka as an indicator as to where the transfer market has gone.

“He (Tierney) has a valuation and the way the market is in England it could even look like a bargain when you think of Wan-Bissaka going for £50m.

“We feel Kieran is a far more experienced and rounded full-back at this juncture in his career.

“We’re certainly not going to be pushed over in any negotiations.”

In terms of outgoings, Laurent Koscielny has agreed to join Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais after rejecting Bordeaux.

The French defender will meet with Arsenal representatives soon to conclude any deal after his falling out with the club when he refused to travel to America for the pre-season tour.
