Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Ryan Fraser stance, Arteta eyes Jimenez, Calhanoglu decision

Arsenal stance on Fraser deal with Bournemouth

Arsenal are unlikely to make a move for Ryan Fraser this month, according to the Mirror.

The Bournemouth winger has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool.

Arteta is expected to make his defence a priority in the transfer market.

It’s believed that West Ham are also interested in signing Fraser, after Arsenal cooled their interest.

Arsenal plot move for Wolves star Jimenez

Mikel Arteta is considering a move for Wolves forward Raul Jimenez, according to AS.

Arsenal would only move for the Mexican if they sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, however.

Aubameyang has been linked with a move to Barcelona, as Catalan boss Quique Setien eyes a new striker this month.

Jimenez has impressed for Wolves since Nuno Espirito Santo’s team arrived in the Premier League 18 months ago.

Martinelli to be handed new contract

Gunners striker Gabriel Martinelli is set to be offered a bumper new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta is worried that Real Madrid are showing an interested in the Brazilian, and will be looking to tie Martinelli down to a longer deal to ward off Zinedine Zidane’s interest.

Arsenal are willing to treble his wages from £10,000-a-week to £30,000-a-week, according to the Daily Mail.

Los Blancos value Martinelli at around £50million, but Arsenal are determined to keep hold of the 19-year-old.
