Arsenal transfer news LIVE: £40m Zaha bid latest, Aubameyang to Man Utd, Fekir offered

Alexandre Lacazette to leave?

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette could be sold by the Gunners this summer transfer window, as the Arsenal hierarchy hold a meeting with the player’s agent and a Spanish club today, after they said they were interested in a deal.

Lacazette’s agent is meeting with the Arsenal board today to discuss his future at the Emirates Stadium, according to Yahoo Sport FR.

An unnamed Spanish club is believed to be interested in signing the 28-year-old.

The meeting isn’t about an extension to his current contract, rather whether the Gunners would be open to a deal.

Lacazette currently has three years left on his current contract, after signing a five-year deal two years ago.

“A Spanish club is interested in Lacazette,” said Yahoo Sport FR reporter Manu Lonjon.

“Meeting tomorrow with Arsenal and the player’s agent.

“No extension in talks.”

Arsenal fans excited over Wilfried Zaha

Arsenal fans are getting excited about the possible summer transfer of Wilfried Zaha, after Hector Bellerin sent a cryptic tweet.

Arsenal fans think a deal for Zaha could be around the corner after Bellerin posted a tweet last night.

The Spaniard simply tweeted an emoji of an hourglass, which sent Twitter into meltdown.

It came just hours after Arsenal had a £40m bid rejected for the Crystal Palace forward.

Fans think it could be a sign that the Gunners will be getting the deal over the line sooner rather than later.

“Announce Zaha,” said one fan on Twitter.

“You know something we don’t know,” responded another.

“Waiting for Zaha?” asked one Arsenal fan.

Another Twitter user simply asked: “Zaha to Arsenal announced?”

Wilfried Zaha bid latest

Wilfried Zaha’s brother issued a shock statement outlining the the winger’s desire to leave Crystal Palace for Arsenal shortly after the Gunners made a £40million bid for his signature.

Zaha’s brother Judicael confirmed the winger’s desire to move to Arsenal to Sky Sports News on Monday by saying: “Wilfried will always hold Crystal Palace and their fans in the highest regard and all the support they’ve given means the world to him.

“It’s my brother’s dream though, to play for Arsenal.

“Given all Wilfried has given to Palace to help them remain a PL club, I hope Palace will be able to see their way to agreeing a deal with Arsenal that allows Wilfried to realise his dream of playing European Football for the club he’s supported since childhood.”

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to be sold to Man Utd?

Arsenal are willing to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and have even offered the 30-year-old to several clubs in Europe, claims transfer expert Ian McGarry.

“Arsenal’s spending ability depends upon bringing players in in the same way as sending players out,” McGarry said on the Transfer Window podcast.

“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one who they’ve marketed to several clubs in Europe, including Bayern Munich.

“He was joint top scorer in the Premier League last season, clearly Arsenal see him as someone who, at the age of 30, could probably increase their profit on the money they spent in buying him from Borussia Dortmund.

“So in doing so they will enrich their transfer funds in terms of incoming players.

“Aubameyang himself is not, I understand, unwilling to move club, especially with the interest from China, where, as we know from the Rafa Benitez situation, money is still plentiful.

“He can actually to there and make a huge amount of money in terms of what he’s currently being paid by Arsenal.

“And Arsenal will also benefit in the fact that they will be able to export one of their highest earners in their club as well, and therefore make money to bring players in, including Tierney, but also players that they clearly need in midfield and up front.

“So, with regards to the Tierney transfer, Aubameyang is not exactly central to it, but it’s definitely the case that Arsenal are making every effort to ensure that a structure payment to Celtic is one that they can afford and also they can fulfil.”

Arsenal offered Nabil Fekir

Arsenal have sensationally been offered Lyon and France star Nabil Fekir for just £30m.

The Mirror claim the former Liverpool target could make a shock move to the Emirates.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery only has £45m to spend this summer though and is understood to prefer Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

The 25-year-old came very close to joining Liverpool last year but for a problem in his medical.
