Arsenal transfer news latest: Gunners make Hakim Ziyech decision plus Dani Ceballos, Ryan Fraser

Arsenal are not interested in Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech as they search for alternatives to Wilfried Zaha.

Crystal Palace are holding out for as much as £80million for their star man despite his public acknowledgement that he wants to move to the Gunners.

That appears to have the club looking at other targets with Moroccan international Ziyech an option.

He would be available for in the region of £30m, well within Unai Emery’s summer budget.

But the BBC report that Ziyech is not being considered and that they are instead looking elsewhere.

They also suggest that a deal for Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser, although doable, is not currently close.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are apparently set to go all out to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old is available this summer with the Spanish giants eager to get rid of some of their fringe players as they look to recoup some cash following an early window splurge.

Ceballos, who starred at the European Under-21 Championships earlier this summer, is one of them with the Gunners one of a number of suitors.

Tottenham are also said to be very keen but Spanish outlet ElDesmarque report that Emery is set to open the bidding with an offer in the region of £42m.

That seems outlandish given Emery’s frugal budget but they say that should that amount come in Florentino Perez would be tempted to sell.

Manchester United are in pole position to sign Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina with the player preferring Old Trafford over a move to Arsenal.

The former Juventus midfielder has been left out of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s squad for their pre-season tour in Austria.

And Talksport believe Lemina is eager to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Meanwhile Arsenal are set to discipline club captain Laurent Koscielny after his refusal to go on their pre-season tour.

The 33-year-old was due to fly out to the USA with the rest of the squad on Thursday but the club announced earlier in the day that the defender would not be travelling.

It is understood Koscielny, whose contract runs until next year, made it clear to the club that he wish to be released from the agreement this summer in order to sign for another club.

But Arsenal have stood firm and, upon their refusal to grant the former France international a free transfer, Koscielny responded by not joining his team-mates in the USA.
