Arsenal target Layvin Kurzawa 'close' to Juventus switch as PSG 'negotiate swap deal'

Juventus are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a swap deal involving Arsenal target Layvin Kurzawa, according to reports.

Kurzawa, 27, is expected to leave the French champions either this month or in the summer after entering the final six months of his current deal at the Parc des Princes.

The Gunners are understood to have held talks with PSG over a move for the left-back, but Goal reports that they could now be set to miss out to Juventus.

According to the publication, the Italian giants are holding discussions over a swap deal that would see full-back Mattia De Sciglio join the Ligue 1 side in exchange for the France international.

It is claimed that negotiations between the two clubs are already at an advanced stage and a deal could be announced ‘in the coming days’.

PSG defender Layvin Kurzawa is understood to be a target for Arsenal

Kurzawa, who joined PSG from domestic rivals Monaco in 2015, has made 15 appearances in all competitions for Thomas Tuchel’s side this season.

With the 27-year-old behind Juan Bernat in the pecking order and set to become a free agent in the summer, PSG are willing to allow him to leave during current transfer window.

They reportedly wanted at least £4.2m for the defender, but are thought to be happy to see De Sciglio arrive in his place.

Goal claims that sporting director Leonardo is a fan of the 27-year-old Italy international, who joined Juve from Milan before the start of the 2017/18 season.
