Arsenal provide injury updates on Lucas Torreira, Kieran Tierney, Hector Bellerin and more

Arsenal have given an update on several players’ fitness ahead of Sunday afternoon’s Premier League clash against Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira, who missed the Europa League win over Olympiacos on Thursday night through illness, is now available for selection.

Gunners fans will also be buoyed by the progress of summer signing Kieran Tierney, who has been out of action with a shoulder injury since December 9.

The Scotland international is rapidly getting back to full fitness, now participating in group sessions. He is estimated to be in full training by the end of February.

Spanish full-back Hector Bellerin also missed the Olympiacos clash as a precautionary measure, with the club monitoring a tight left groin.

The 24-year-old has been involved in full training and will undergo further assessment as to whether he can participate in Sunday’s game.

Mesut Ozil, who scored in the Gunners’ last Premier League outing, the 4-0 win over Newcastle United, is also available to be picked against Everton, after missing the game in midweek.

Central defender Sokratis, who was in visible distress during Thursday night’s game in Greece is being assessed after suffering a knee injury.

January signing Cedric Soares, who is yet to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side is progressing well with gym work and aiming to participate in full training by the end of this month.
