Arsenal keen on Mauricio Pochettino but Gunners face catch in pursuit of ex-Tottenham boss

Arsenal are interested in appointing Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s new manager, according to BBC Sport. But, the former Tottenham boss will likely wait to assess his options before jumping back into management.

Pochettino is out of work after being sacked by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy earlier this month.

The Argentinian has also been tipped for jobs at Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are searching for a new manager after they sacked Unai Emery on Friday morning.

The Gunners hierarchy ran out of patience with the Spaniard after a particularly poor run of form saw the club slip to eighth in the Premier League table.
