Arsenal fans want Calum Chambers to start against Manchester United on Monday.
Chambers impressed for the Gunners against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
Unai Emery now prepares his side to head to Old Trafford on Monday night in the Premier League.
And with Arsenal’s defence having struggled at the start of this season, fans want Chambers to be given a chance.
One wrote on social media: “Chambers impressed at centreback vs Newcastle, flourished at DM for Fulham last season and has scored and assisted in the past 2 games at right back, both being emphatic in their own right. He deserves to start no matter where he plays.”
Another demanded: “Start chambers instead of sokratis or David luiz”
While a fellow Gunners fan posted: “Chambers involved in so much, he’s gotta start in the league #arsenal”
With another wanting new signing Kieran Tierney also to start at Old Trafford: “Tierney and Chambers need to start on Monday idc”
And a fifth said: Chambers surely has to start now. Playing better than all our CBs recently”
Chambers was given a chance against Aston Villa last weekend following the sending off of Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
He helped the Gunners turn around a 2-1 deficit as they picked up their third win of the Premier League season.
And Chambers recognised how important the win was.
“I am very pleased,” he said.
“We stuck in there and worked hard and deserved it in the end.
“The win is massive for us as a club and team, We have the quality and the spirit.
“We dug in deep to get the momentum going.”
