Arsenal boss Unai Emery reveals what losing Maurizio Sarri would mean for Chelsea

Chelsea will lose ‘a very good coach’ if Maurizio Sarri quits Stamford Bridge – according to the man trying to beat him to the Europa Cup.

Ahead of next week’s controversial showdown in Baku, the under-fire Blues’ boss has received a huge pat-on-the-back from managerial counterpart Unai Emery.

Rumours have been rife in Italy this week that the 60-year-old will leave for either Juventus or Roma.

But Emery claims the London rivals don’t know what they’re missing after chief paying tribute to the work undertaken by his Italian colleague at the Emirates, claiming that he learns whenever he watches Sarri’s side in action.

Emery said: “I appreciate him a lot. He’s a very good coach. When you watch one of Chelsea ’s matches, you know he’s the coach – you can see Sarri’s identity.

“He created that at Napoli before he created it here.

“And this year they finished third in the Premier League and they are in the Europa Cup final.

“When I see Chelsea, I see a good team, a good coach, a good way of playing. I have learnt watching Sarri’s matches at Napoli and at Chelsea.”
