Arsenal and Chelsea fans SLAMMED over Europa League final – ‘Liverpool would fill 6000’

Chelsea and Arsenal go head-to-head in Baku on Wednesday evening for Europe’s second most prestigious club trophy.

The London sides were each given 6000 tickets but almost half of them have been returned by the respective clubs.

A huge rise in flight and hotel prices is a big reason why many fans have turned down the chance of attending the showpiece occasion.

Many were looking at spending over £1000 on a lengthy trip and accommodation before even purchasing their match ticket.

But former Newcastle striker Micky Quinn still cannot believe each club have not sold out their allocation.

Scouser Quinn says his beloved Liverpool as well as Newcastle would easily have filled their sections of the stadium.

“What was the allocation? 6000 each,” Quinn said on talkSPORT.

“I’m looking at Arsenal, big club, big Premier League club, Chelsea, big Premier League club.

“They must have a worldwide fan base, both clubs, with the Premier League going round worldwide.

“And they can’t get 6000 fans to go to Baku?

“Arsenal or Chelsea cannot get 6000, and I mean worldwide fans, to go to Baku.

“Whatever how dangerous or how long the trip is, I don’t know, I just find it astonishing they can’t fill an allocation of 6000 to go to a Europa League cup final, a European Cup final and I’ll use my two examples.

“Liverpool would fill 6000 and Newcastle United fans would walk there and go past all those major football clubs.

“It might be me being naive, but I just feel, you can’t fill 6000 tickets, worldwide fan base, they must have a worldwide fan base, and they can’t fill 6000.

“I thought they would be scrapping over extra tickets and they’ve given half of them back.

“I just can’t get my head around it, a European Cup final, two teams both hungry for silverware, both managers want to win.”
