Ariana Grande has reunited with both her mother and her estranged father for Thanksgiving – which she revealed was her ‘first with both of her parents in 18 years’.

The singer’s parents, Joan Grande and Edward Butera, divorced in 2003, but this year, the Grande family have put their issues aside to celebrate Thanksgiving with each other.

Taking to Instagram stories, Ari shared a series of snaps from the day, including one of her posing alongside both of her parents.

‘First Thanksgiving with both of my parents in 18 years!’ she wrote.

Ariana also shared some playful clips from the Thanksgiving festivities, including a clip of her and her father side by side, and a video of her mother and other family members dancing.

Over the past few years, the 26-year-old has continued on rebuilding her relationship with her father, and Ari has been no stranger to sharing snaps of him to her Instagram.

Back in October, she and her parents also visited the Louvre in Paris together, while she was taking a break from performing on her Sweetener World Tour.

‘Is that my parents?’ she jokingly wrote on Instagram, as she shared a picture of her parents standing outside the Louvre.

And last year, Ariana also made a special FaceTime call to her dad on Christmas Day.

The singer had previously hinted at drama in her family in her number one single Thank U, Next, which was released in November 2018.

One particular lyric saw Ari singing: ‘One day I’ll walk down the aisle, holding hands with my mama, I’ll be thanking my dad cause she grew from the drama.’

Ariana had also revealed that in 2013, she had a falling out with her father, which she admitted was ‘one of the hardest things she’d faced’.

‘It’s private… it too me so long to be okay with it,’ she told Seventeen magazine in 2014.

‘The thing that got me there was embracing the fact that I am made up of half of my dad, and a lot of my traits come from him.

‘So much of me comes from my father, and for so long, I didn’t like that about myself. I had to accept that it’s okay not to get along with somebody and still love them.’
