Ariana Grande isn't too impressed with her Madame Tussauds waxwork

Madame Tussauds has something of a reputation when it comes to their celebrity waxwork figures. Namely, they either look startlingly lifelike, or disturbingly alien.

It’s safe to say that Ariana Grande‘s new alter-ego, which was unveiled last week at the iconic London museum, falls into the latter category, leaving everyone completed baffled/scared/shocked by the new statue.

The new waxwork, which showcases a “classic” Ariana look, see the mannequin dressed in the singer’s trademark oversized jumper, over-the-knee boots and high ponytail, complete with intricate finger tattoos.

Credit where credit is due, because Tussauds have even positioned Ari 2.0 in front of an awesome backdrop decorated with pink loveheart sweets that read: ‘eat,’ ‘yolo,’ and ‘boss lady,’.

And while the museum have nailed Ari’s style, the main problem, and it’s a rather big problem, is the face.

While we fully appreciate that the waxworks are made from, well, wax, the mannequin’s face is some next-level distortion. Not to mention, what on earth is going on with those eyebrows?

Fans were clearly unimpressed by the new reveal, commenting on Madame Tussauds’ Instagram post that the scary doppelgänger “did her so wrong,” and that “someone should melt that sh*t down.”

Clearly, its not just us who’s unimpressed by Madame Tussauds’ new creation, because the the ‘7 Rings’ singer actually served some shade herself.

When PopCraveNews shared a snap of the new waxwork, Ari decided to weigh in on the drama herself, commenting: “I just wanna talk”.

The divisive new waxwork is on show at Madame Tussauds London for the next 5 weeks, if you fancy seeing what all the fuss is about. But in the words of one disgruntled fan, “Girl, we all wanna have a talk with them.”
