Grammy winners Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift opted for different approaches when they took to social media on Sunday to urge their young fans to take social distancing more seriously.

‘I follow you online and I love you guys so much and need to express my concern that things aren’t being taken seriously enough right now,’ wrote Swift in a carefully crafted text post shared to her 128million followers on Instagram.  

But Grande did not hold back any punches on her Instagram story, where she sarcastically stated that, ‘Your hip hop yoga class can wait,’ in response to fans refusing to self-quarantine.

Swift continued: ‘I’m seeing lots of get together and hangs and parties still happening. This is the time to cancel plans, actually truly isolate as much as you can, and don’t assume that because you don’t feel sick that you aren’t possibly passing something on to someone elderly or vulnerable to this.’ 

The Lover singer stressed that the present pandemic is proving to be a ‘ really scary time but we need to make social sacrifices right now.’

Unlike Swift, Grande continued to treat her words like ammo, even heading over to Twitter to further flesh out her thoughts.
