ARGOS has recalled some of its own-brand memory foam mattress toppers after they were found to be a potential fire risk.
The retailer has pulled its Argos Memory Foam Mattress Topper from shelves and customers who have one are being advised not to use it.

Argos highlighted a total of 22 batch codes, along with different size toppers, that could pose a threat.
The shop said the recall was issued after a small number of the products were found to not conform with UK fire safety standards.
In a statement on its website, Argos said customers don’t need the receipt to return one of the mattress toppers.
The retailer goes on to ask customers to check the care label for the batch code to see if their product is effected.

The retailer said on its website: “If the batch code on the care label matches one of the batch numbers below, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and return it to an Argos store for a full refund or replacement.
“The safety of our customers is our highest priority, please be assured that no other mattress topper is affected by this issue.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused. “

Other product recalls to watch out for include 82 types of hummus that have been pulled over salmonella fears from Aldi, Lidl, Asda and Sainsbury’s.
Other recent recalls include Lidl’s pesto sauce, which was removed from shelves over fears it could trigger allergic reactions.
While batches of Turkey Dinosaurs sold in Iceland were recalled over fears they could contain metal pieces.
